My first experience with the real grade line. I enjoyed the small, numerous pieces during the build. The final model had very nice level of detail and great posability. I tried to paint some gold accents on the joints but learned the hard way that the ABS inner frame gets brittle from most solvents without priming. Managed to finish the build with replacement parts.Methods summary:
- Out-of-box build with sticker decals
- Gold accents applied with gundam markers (bad idea)
- Panel lined with Mr Weather Color black
- Topcoat with Mr. Topcoat matte
- Weathered with Tamiya weathering master (soot and dirt)
- Pilot figure painted with Mr. Hobby colors
